Nature Play Space™

The Nature Play Space™️ at Stoneridge offers a nature exploration and play space for limitless possibilities for all play experiences and exploration for both children and adults. The play space is adjacent to an existing mature forest that allows for children to strengthen their senses of touch, vision, hearing, and smell exploring within the leaves and natural woodlands. Observing the daily activities of birds and creatures and the ever-changing seasons of the leaves in the spaces they live in daily encourages an infinite possibility of imagination and unstructured play. The structured play space adjacent to the forest provides a basket swing that creates an opportunity for active, social, cooperative play as children learn how to play together, communicate clearly, and negotiate conflict. A large wooden climbing structure and log stumps test balancing skills, self-confidence, and climbing abilities. Those needing a break from the action can head to the nearby pavilion, benches, open grassy area, or stroll around the child-friendly butterfly gardens. With so much to do, Stoneridge has something for everyone to enjoy.
